Frequently asked questions about the Pisa Pass
Everything you need to know before visiting the Piazza dei Miracoli. Note: the booked time slot applies to the Leaning Tower, so arrive at the Museo delle Sinopie 15 minutes beforehand.
Buying & price
How much does the Pisa Pass cost? +
There are two variants: the base ticket (Leaning Tower and cathedral) and All Monuments (adding the baptistery, Camposanto and both museums). Both include a multilingual audio guide. The current prices are on the Prices page.
Are there reduced or child tickets? +
The pass has a single per-person price, with no child tier. The Leaning Tower can also only be climbed from age 8. The current prices per variant are on the Prices page.
How do I book the Pisa Pass? +
You book online through Headout and choose your variant and a time slot for the Leaning Tower there. Your voucher is emailed to you shortly after booking. Rescheduling to another time slot is not possible.
Is the Pisa Pass worth it? +
If you want to climb the Leaning Tower and see the cathedral, the base ticket covers both with an audio guide in one booking. If you also plan to see the baptistery, Camposanto and museums, the All Monuments variant adds them to the same ticket. Compare both variants on the Prices page.
Validity & redemption
How long is the Pisa Pass valid? +
The booked time slot applies to climbing the Leaning Tower. The other monuments you can visit on any day within a year of your chosen date. Arrive 15 minutes before your tower time slot.
Do I have to visit everything in one day? +
Only the Leaning Tower is tied to a fixed time. The cathedral, baptistery, Camposanto and museums you visit within the validity in any order.
How do I get the pass after buying? +
After booking online you receive your voucher by email. Show it on your phone together with a valid photo ID at the Museo delle Sinopie on the Piazza del Duomo. There you redeem it and collect your audio guide.
What's included
What does the Pisa Pass include? +
The Pisa Pass is the combined ticket for the monuments of the Piazza dei Miracoli. The base ticket covers the Leaning Tower and the cathedral; choose the All Monuments option to also include the Baptistery of San Giovanni, the Camposanto Monumentale, the Museo delle Sinopie and the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo. Is the Leaning Tower included? +
Yes. Climbing the Leaning Tower is included, at your booked time. Access to the cathedral is part of both variants.
Is there an age limit? +
The Leaning Tower can only be climbed from age 8. Children under 8 are not admitted for safety reasons, even when accompanied by adults.
Is an audio guide included? +
Yes. Every ticket includes a multilingual audio guide for the monuments. You collect it at the Museo delle Sinopie when you redeem your voucher.
Cancellation & more
Can the pass be cancelled or refunded? +
No. Tickets booked through Headout cannot be cancelled or rescheduled, so check the date and tower time slot before buying.
Are all monuments open year-round? +
Opening hours and tower time-slot availability can vary by season. The Leaning Tower has limited capacity per time slot, so book early. Check the current times with the provider if in doubt.
